Syracuse, N.Y. – Big changes are coming to Le Moyne Athletics.

Emboldened by an innovative approach to its online presence as well as an aggressive social media strategy, coverage of Dolphin Athletic teams will grow to unprecedented levels in the weeks ahead.

In addition to the recently conceived marketing and multimedia partnership with Dan Tortora Broadcast Media, the Le Moyne Athletic Department announced on Thursday that it will increase its offerings dramatically beginning with the current fall season.

Utilizing a talented group of students from the College's Communications Department, the athletic department has constructed its first Creative Services Division. The unit will be charged with developing compelling video and graphic content for use on all of the athletic department's online platforms.

Molly Walsh '22, Sean Donovan '22 and Cassidy Barrett '22 will be charged with content development, while Aly Blair '23 will oversee content strategy and data analytics. Michael Smith '21 M '22 has also been added to the staff and will serve in an assistant's role within the department. While Barrett doubles as the starting catcher on Le Moyne's softball team, Smith returns as a starting outfielder for the Dolphins' baseball team.

"There is a tremendous amount of talent on this wonderful campus," stated Le Moyne Director of Athletics Bob Beretta. "We want to collaborate with College leaders and utilize that talent to enhance the coverage of our amazing student-athletes while showcasing the work of our skilled Le Moyne student population.

"One of the themes of our athletic department this year is to 'elevate.' "We want to improve every facet of our operation. We feel these changes to our external operations area will yield significant results."

As part of the comprehensive overhaul, Le Moyne's Sports Information operations will be rebranded to Athletic Communications under the direction of Assistant Athletic Director Craig Lane '07. James McGlynn, a recent graduate of Dickinson College, has also been added to the staff as an Assistant Director as has marketing assistant, Brandon Grant. Diante Warner M '22 returns as a multimedia services graduate assistant.

Specific Twitter feeds and Instagram pages for all intercollege pages debut today and will feature enhanced coverage of all Dolphin teams. Included in the increased menu of content offerings will be pregame graphics and videos, in-game updates and postgame news, notes and highlights. Biographies and photos of all Le Moyne student-athletes will be posted to Le Moyne's official athletic web site in the days ahead.

"We are excited with enthusiasm displayed by our students to assist in our online ventures," Beretta added. "We feel this new approach to our communications will allow our fans, followers and alumni to engage with our Dolphin athletic teams and our student-athletes like never before."
